About

The Australian College of Cartooning is a division of the Australian Institute of Cartooning with tuition focusing on 480 topics in cartooning. Vocational training in cartooning ranges from simplistic aspects of cartooning for the younger student to a more specialised field for the advanced student. Depending on the style or type of cartooning the student wishes to pursue.

Cartooning has a special place in society not only through the print media with comic strips, comic books, illustrations etc; but also with animation and Storyboards through the movie, television and advertising industries.

The Australian College of Cartooning in house produced publications invite and encourage students to submit their artwork for publication. Our talent scouts are always on the lookout for artists who are keen would be cartoonists from beginners to professionals. Our newsletter focuses on information and assignments to the growing membership of our organization. Contributions submitted for publication from our membership are welcome.

Students of all ages and all walks of life are currently joining our organization and are firming their positions by getting in on the ground floor for what we see as an exciting undertaking in the world of cartooning.

At the Australian College of Cartooning we are dedicated to:

  • Develop confidence through learnt skills.
  • Monitor all the students’ progress.
  • Encourage students to work within their comfort zone.
  • Give back up support when and where required.

During our courses we insist that students are made aware of the copyright laws and that they fully understand how to protect their intellectual material. Learning cartooning is fun as it should be; understanding how the copyright laws protect their artwork is the key factor in keeping the fun in cartooning.
